Reservations
We recommend that all reservations be made through your travel agent as early as possible to ensure availability and preferred arrangements. Silkway Travel reserves the right to accept or decline late reservations at its sole discretion, subject to availability. Any reservations made after the standard booking period may incur additional fees, including but not limited to administrative processing costs, express mail or courier delivery charges, late payment surcharges imposed by suppliers, and other operational expenses resulting from the late booking.
Deposit
To confirm your reservation, Silkway Travel requires a non-refundable deposit per person. The required deposit amount is specified in the applicable tour brochure, flyer, or reservation confirmation. Once the deposit has been received, a formal trip confirmation will be issued to you, along with any available additional details of the tour program. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Final Payment and Travel Documents
Full payment for your tour must be received by Silkway Travel no later than the deadline specified in the applicable tour brochure, flyer, or reservation confirmation. In the absence of a specified payment schedule, full payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure (90 days for cruise departures). Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of your reservation, and your deposit will be forfeited. For bookings made within the final payment deadline, full payment is required at the time of reservation. Upon receipt of full payment, Silkway Travel will issue and send your travel documents, including tickets and itinerary, directly to you. Please review all documents carefully upon receipt to ensure accuracy. If you have any questions or concerns, we advise you to consult your travel agent promptly.
Package Price Includes
The land portion of the tour package is not available for separate purchase and must be
booked in conjunction with the designated air transportation arranged by Silkway Travel.
Unless otherwise specified, all prices are quoted in Canadian dollars. Airfares, hotel rates, and land components are subject to surcharges during peak travel seasons, holidays, or special events. In addition, prices may be affected by currency fluctuations and are only guaranteed at the time of quotation. We strongly recommend that you consult your travel agent to confirm the total package price prior to making a booking. Each tour or cruise package may include different services and amenities. For a detailed breakdown of what is included in your selected package, please refer to the relevant
brochure or flyer.
Air Transportation
Air transportation quoted is based on round-trip economy excursion fares unless otherwisespecified. All fares comply with IATA regulations and the policies of the respective airline.Certain stopover restrictions may apply. Airline tickets may have limited validity periods,expiration dates, or specific conditions regarding cancellations or changes to dates oritineraries, which will be clearly outlined at the time of booking and reflected in the invoice.All quoted airfares are based on tariffs and regulations in effect at the time of printing of thebrochure, flyer, website, or other promotional materials, and are provided for reference only.Prices are subject to change without notice.Land PriceThe land price quoted in the brochure or flyer is based on tariffs, costs, and foreign exchangerates in effect at the time of printing, and is subject to change without notice. The land priceincludes hotel accommodation per person based on shared twin-bedded rooms, sit-in-coachsightseeing with local guides speaking the designated language, transfers, baggage handling,meals, and ground transportation as indicated in the itinerary or as otherwise specified.Exclusions from Package PriceUnless otherwise specified, the package price does not include the following: airport landingand departure taxes, airport construction or improvement fees, city development fees, otherapplicable travel taxes, travel or baggage insurance, passport and visa fees, excess baggagecharges, meals not listed in the itinerary, and all personal expenses. Personal expenses,including but not limited to laundry services, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, telephonecalls, optional tours, and gratuities for tour guides, drivers, restaurant staff, and hotelpersonnel such as chambermaids, are not included in the package price.Price Protection PolicyAll tour, package, cruise rates, and airfares quoted, or for which a deposit has been received,are subject to change without prior notice. The quoted price is only protected when fullpayment has been received and processed.
Extra Nights
The price for extra nights shown in the brochure or flyer is provided for reference only and is subject to change without prior notice. For the most up-to-date pricing on extra nights, please consult your travel agent.
Your Responsibilities
It is your responsibility to ensure that you possess a valid passport with an expiration date ofat least six (6) months beyond the scheduled return date of your tour. Some destinations may have additional entry requirements, including but not limited to visas, health certificates, or vaccination documentation. It is solely your responsibility to obtain and carry all necessary travel documents and to comply with the entry, exit, health, and other requirements of the countries you are visiting.

Visas and Health Requirements
It is your sole responsibility to ensure compliance with all visa, entry, health, and vaccination
requirements of the countries you plan to visit. This includes obtaining the necessary visas
and meeting any local health or vaccination regulations. Silkway Travel is not liable for any
consequences resulting from your failure to meet these requirements.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of
booking. Travel insurance can provide protection against unforeseen circumstances such as
trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss, and medical emergencies. You may obtain
full details and options through your travel agent. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured before travel. Please be aware that in some countries, medical care and prescription medications may not be as readily accessible as in your home country. You are advised to carry any necessary medications and prescription drugs with you at all times.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your tour or package for any reason—including medical or family emergencies— the cancellation fees outlined in the brochure, flyer, or your tour confirmation will apply. If no specific cancellation fees are provided in those materials, the following standard fees will apply:

Cancellation Fee:
- 45 days or more before departure
- Forfeiture of full deposit
- 44 to 29 days before departure
- 50% of total tour price
- 30 days or less before departure
- 100% of total tour price
- After travel documents issued
- 100% of total tour price
Cruise Bookings
The above terms do not apply to cruise bookings. Cancellation terms for cruises vary by departure and are governed by the policies of individual cruise lines. Some special cruise packages may have unique booking and cancellation terms, which will be detailed in the brochure, flyer, or cruise confirmation. Please consult your travel agent at the time of payment for specific details.
Important Notes:
All cancellation requests must be submitted to Silkway Travel & Cruise Inc. in writing. You are responsible for cancellation fees regardless of whether your space is resold. All tour and cruise bookings are non-transferable. Any name changes or changes to the departure date are treated as cancellations and are subject to the applicable cancellation fees.
Refunds, less any applicable cancellation fees, are available only from Silkway Travel.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of cancellation. No refunds will be issued for any unused portions of the tour after departure, including hotel accommodations, sightseeing, extra nights, airfare, or any other included services, regardless of the reason for non-use. All refunds are subject to the approval of the service provider.
Tour Cancellation
Silkway Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole discretion and to decline the participation of any individual at any time, if deemed necessary, for reasons including but not limited to safety, health, or operational concerns. In the event of a tour cancellation initiated by Silkway Travel, a refund of the refundable portion will be provided. This refund will constitute full settlement, and no further liability will be incurred by Silkway Travel. It is
highly recommended the customer to buy trip cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
Changes to Hotels and Tour/Cruise Programs
Circumstances beyond our control may arise that make it necessary, in our sole discretion, to cancel, advance, postpone, or alter a scheduled departure; change the itinerary; or substitute accommodations, restaurants, or modes of transportation. In such cases, Silkway Travel does not accept liability for any resulting loss, expense, or inconvenience incurred by participants. Silkway Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels listed in the brochure or itinerary with hotels of equivalent standard. Additionally, we may modify the tour or cruise itinerary as we deem necessary for operational reasons, passenger comfort, safety, or other relevant considerations. You agree to be bound by any such changes and accept responsibility for any additional costs that may arise as a result.
Change of Itinerary
Once travel has commenced, no changes may be made to the confirmed and printed itinerary
by the participant. Silkway Travel reserves the right to make any adjustments to the itinerary,
accommodations, or transportation arrangements as deemed necessary for operational,
safety, or other reasonable purposes, in accordance with the terms outlined herein.
Amendments to Itinerary or Package
Changes to your itinerary or travel package may be made prior to the payment of the deposit.
In such cases, a revised quotation will be provided. Once the deposit has been received, no
further changes are permitted. Any requested amendments after the deposit has been paid
will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to the applicable cancellation penalties as
outlined in the cancellation policy.
Children and Infants
Fares for children under the age of 12 are based on sharing a room with their parent(s) and do
not apply to occupancy of half a twin room. Infants under the age of 2, traveling with a parent
or legal guardian and not occupying a bed and/or airline seat, are charged 15% of the
applicable adult fare. Additional charges may apply for extra bedding; please inquire at the
time of booking.
Specific terms and conditions may apply to children’s and infants’ fares depending on the
airline, tour, or cruise package selected. We recommend confirming the applicable policies
with one of our travel consultants at the time of reservation.
Guides
Silkway Travel arranges for local guides in each of our destination cities to enhance your
travel experience. However, the assignment of specific guides is at the discretion of the local
handling agent, and we cannot guarantee the availability of a particular guide. Additionally,
Silkway Travel is not responsible for the adequacy or appointment of local language guides,
as this is subject to availability and the discretion of the local service provider.
Meals
Meals provided as part of the tour are indicated as (B) for breakfast, (L) for lunch, and (D) for
dinner. Any meals not specified in the itinerary will be at your own expense. Please refer to
the brochure, flyer, or tour confirmation for details on the meals included in your package.
Tour Participation
Silkway Travel reserves the right to remove any participant from the tour if their conduct is
deemed incompatible with the harmonious experience of the group. In the event that we
deny your continued participation in a tour due to behavioral issues or other disruptions, you
will not be entitled to any refund for the remaining portion of the tour.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited on most airlines, motor coaches, cruise ships, and other modes
of transportation. Additionally, smoking may not be allowed in certain hotel rooms or cruise
cabins. Compliance with all smoking regulations is a condition of participation in the tour.
Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the tour without refund.
Disruptive Behaviour
Airlines strictly enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate
behavior onboard. If you are denied boarding or removed from a flight due to your conduct,
Silkway Travel bears no responsibility for any resulting costs, nor will any refund be provided
for the unused portion of your tour. Your participation in the tour is contingent upon
respectful and compliant behavior at all times.
Baggage Handling
Silkway Travel assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged baggage at any time
during your trip. Baggage allowance and size restrictions are determined by each individual
airline and must be strictly followed. Please refer to the tour brochure/flyer/airlines website
or consult your travel agent at the time of booking to confirm the number of checked or
carry-on bags included in your package. Any surcharges or penalties incurred for overweight,
oversized, or additional luggage are the sole responsibility of the passenger.
Limitation of Liability
Silkway Travel acts solely as an agent and/or intermediary for independent third-party
suppliers, including but not limited to transportation companies, hotels, cruise lines, and
sightseeing operators. All arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and related
travel services are made by these suppliers, and all tickets and coupons issued are subject to
the terms and conditions of the respective service providers.
Silkway Travel is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity arising
from any defect in any vehicle or mode of transport, or from the negligence or default of any
company or person engaged in providing or carrying out the travel services. This includes,
but is not limited to, hotel proprietors, employees, or agents, and any failure by a hotel to
provide advertised services.
Silkway Travel accepts no responsibility for additional expenses or inconvenience caused by
delays, changes in travel schedules or services, natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, extreme
weather), strikes, war, quarantines, pandemics, or any other events beyond its control.
Airlines and other transportation providers are not responsible for any acts or omissions
occurring outside of their control or during periods when travelers are not aboard their
vehicles.
The contract of carriage issued by an airline constitutes the sole agreement between the
airline and the traveler. Claims related to tour or cruise services must be submitted in writing
to Silkway Travel within 14 days of the tour or cruise completion. Failure to do so may result
in the forfeiture of your right to pursue a claim.
Silkway Travel assumes no liability for delays, substitutions, equipment failures, or any act or
omission by carriers, agents, or service providers. All travel services are governed by the laws
and regulations of the countries in which they are provided.
Description of Services
Silkway Travel strives to ensure that all travel services described in our brochures, flyers, and
website are presented as accurately as possible. However, errors or changes in circumstances
may occasionally occur. Should we be made aware of any significant changes to your travel
arrangements, we will make every reasonable effort to inform you prior to departure.
Please be advised that each travel destination has its own unique characteristics, including
weather, cuisine, customs, and cultural norms, which may differ from what you are
accustomed to. Variations in infrastructure, utility services, and accommodation standards
are common across countries and may not reflect those of your home country. By selecting a particular travel service featured in our brochure, flyer, or website, you acknowledge that you have made all necessary and reasonable inquiries and understand the
nature of the services being offered.
Special Terms
Certain tours or cruise programs may be subject to specific terms and conditions that differ
from our general policies. We strongly advise you to carefully review all terms and conditions
applicable to the particular program you have selected. Your attention to these details is
important to ensure a clear understanding of your travel arrangements and responsibilities.
Tour/Cruise Information
Silkway Travel is not responsible for any information provided to tour participants unless it is
issued in writing directly by Silkway Travel or included in an official Silkway Travel publication.
Any verbal or third-party information not documented by Silkway Travel should not be
considered accurate or reliable.
Variation of Terms & Conditions
No person, other than an authorized representative of Silkway Travel, is permitted to vary,
add to, or waive any of the terms and conditions stated herein, unless such changes are made
in writing and issued by Silkway Travel.
Acceptance of Terms
Payment of your deposit, or any partial or full payment for a tour, constitutes your
acknowledgment, understanding, and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, including
the limitations of liability as outlined in our brochure, flyer, or website.
Applicable Law and Venue
Your use of Silkway Travel’s services constitutes your agreement that any claim or legal action
arising under this contract shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of British
Columbia, Canada. British Columbia shall be the sole and exclusive venue for any such claims
or actions.
